ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – Superintendents from seven area school districts are asking St. Louis County Prosecutor, Bob McCulloch to consider not making the grand jury’s announcement during the school day.
In the letter sent last week, it asks McCulloch to wait until students could return home safely and suggests releasing the information after 5pm during the week, or on the weekend.
It could affect nearly 20,000 students from Ferguson-Florissant, Riverview Gardens, Jennings, transfer students at Kirkwood and Mehlville as well as students in Hazelwood, Normandy and the special school district.
